BRUNSWICK, ME -Dr. Nirav Shah has launched the first television advertisement of his campaign for governor, introducing a spot titled “Driveways” that focuses on the public trust he built with Mainers during the pandemic and his plans for the state.
The ad begins airing on Portland broadcast television as part of the campaign’s paid media push. The campaign said it added $20,000 to its television buy this week, bringing total TV spending to about $520,000.
The commercial highlights Shah’s public-facing leadership during the pandemic, including outreach in neighborhoods, towns and on radio, and frames that record as the basis of his gubernatorial bid.
In the advertisement, Shah says, “When we faced our toughest challenge in years, I was honored you let me into your homes. You trusted me to keep us safe, and together we stood up to Donald Trump’s lies about public health.”
Since entering the race, Shah’s campaign said he has held 20 public town halls and taken hundreds of unscreened questions from voters.
