SAN FRANCISCO, CA – The New York Times has reported that Elon Musk took ketamine with Nicole Shanahan at a private party in 2021. According to the article, Shanahan later told her then-husband, Google co-founder Sergey Brin, that she had a sexual encounter with Musk.

Shanahan is now the vice-presidential candidate on the Robert Kennedy ticket.

The Times’ report, citing multiple sources, highlights details of Shanahan’s personal life and her connection with Musk. During a private party in Miami in December 2021, Shanahan and Musk reportedly took ketamine and “disappeared together for several hours,” according to related documents and four people briefed on the matter.

Ketamine, known for its dissociative anesthetic properties and hallucinogenic effects, can be legally prescribed and has shown potential for treating depression. However, it is also commonly used as a recreational drug. The Drug Enforcement Administration classifies it as a “dissociative anesthetic.”

In March, Musk publicly stated that he was taking a “small amount” of ketamine every other week with a prescription. The Times’ article places this admission in the context of Musk’s alleged encounter with Shanahan, further illustrating the extent of his use of the drug.
