MUMBAI – Astronaut Sunita Williams, stuck in space, received a musicalbirthday greeting as she turned 59. The Indian music company Saregama orchestrated a special tribute featuring music icons—Sonu Nigam, Shaan, Hariharan, and Neeti Mohan—alongside renowned producer-director Karan Johar.
The celebratory reel, shared on social media, was captioned: “Come on India, let’s sing #HappyBirthdaySunita along with India’s biggest icons and send our collective wishes to Astronaut Sunita Williams up in space.” The video opens with Karan Johar smiling and saying, “Meri taraf se ek special birthday wish to someone very, very, very special jo humse hai duur bahut duur (who is very far away from us).”
