BELLFLOWER, CA – Spring Nectar Foundation, led by Rose Muralikrishnan, will present two back-to-back live musical concerts at the Bristol Civic Auditorium in Bellflower on Saturday, August 8, with net proceeds benefiting the American Cancer Society.
The charity fundraiser will feature a Bollywood Musical Extravaganza from 4 to 6:30 p.m., followed by the Tamil musical concert ‘Whistle Podu’ featuring Super Singers for the first time in Southern California, from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Organizers say the event is designed to bring together music enthusiasts while supporting the fight against cancer.
The afternoon Bollywood concert will showcase popular Hindi film songs performed live, while the evening’s ‘Whistle Podu’ program will celebrate Tamil cinema with performances of well-known Kollywood hits. Together, the concerts aim to offer audiences a full evening of Indian musical entertainment spanning two of the country’s most popular film industries.
According to the organizers, all proceeds remaining after event expenses will be donated to the American Cancer Society to support cancer research, patient services and advocacy programs.
Rose Muralikrishnan, founder of Spring Nectar Foundation, said the fundraiser reflects the organization’s commitment to combining cultural events with community service.
