Sweeping Verdict: Trump First President In History To Become A Felon
NEW YORK, NY (ANI) – A Manhattan jury convicted former President Donald Trump, the presumptive 2024 Republican nominee, on 34 felony counts of falsifying business records in a case stemming from a New York hush money trial involving a porn star. This verdict on May 30 marks a historic moment as Trump becomes the first president in US history to be convicted of a felony.
Prosecutors accused Trump of participating in an illegal conspiracy to undermine the integrity of the 2016 election by concealing a hush money payment to adult film actress Stormy Daniels.
His legal team vowed to challenge the verdict, but Judge Juan Merchan denied Trump’s motion for an acquittal and scheduled a sentencing hearing for July 11.
The trial centered on allegations surrounding a hush-money scheme involving Daniels. The jury found Trump guilty of falsifying business records in connection with this scheme, encompassing 34 felony counts. Before deliberations, both the defense and prosecution delivered closing arguments, presenting contrasting narratives regarding the payment to Daniels and subsequent reimbursements to Trump’s former attorney, Michael Cohen.
Trump’s attorney, Todd Blanche, attacked Cohen’s credibility, likening him to a prolific liar and arguing that Cohen’s history of deception rendered his claims unreliable. Assistant District Attorney Joshua Steinglass countered, asserting the validity of Cohen’s testimony and highlighting corroborating evidence, including testimony from David Pecker, the former chief of American Media Inc.
Throughout the trial, Steinglass meticulously guided jurors through the evidence, underscoring the consistency of the testimony and documentation presented. He emphasized the intricate dynamics between Cohen and Trump, characterizing their communication as often cryptic and fast-paced.
Following the jury’s decision, Trump vehemently denounced the trial, calling it a “disgrace” and “rigged.” He asserted, “We didn’t do a thing wrong. I’m a very innocent man,” and positioning the upcoming general election as the true measure of public opinion. “The real verdict is going to be on November 5 by the people,” he declared.
Trump also criticized the Manhattan District Attorney and the Biden administration, baselessly claiming their influence over the case. This was straight from Trump’s playbook. Even before the results were out in the 2016 and 2020 presidential races, he said it was rigged against him. He has said that about every court case against him.

This is scary!
The process to reach here has been political and vindictive.
The chief witness has admitted to lying and is a felon
The laws were changed and stretched to get here
The jury was biased. They were given brief instructions and no full paper instructions
The judge was biased and broke all norms
If this can happen to an ex-President, a lead candidate in a Presidential election and a billionaire with all the lawyers he wants. IT CAN HAPPEN TO YOU.
The same things done by Biden to mask his son’s computer are totally ignored.

So Bill Clinton can get away with what he did in oval office with a female intern. Hillary Clinton can get away deleting her laptop’s hard drive with Russian contacts. Hunter Biden can get away with his laptop records indicating his Ukraine and China connections. Both Hillary Clinton and Jo Biden can get away with Russia-Russia propaganda against Trump in both 2016 and 2020 elections. And they (Biden and his deep state) are doing everything in their capacity to keep Trump away from 2024 elections.
Now I am asking a question to 70% of the Indian Americans who vote for Democrats. Is that why you left India to be in the same situation where you feel helpless from corrupt politicians? Look around you in the U.S. – bad economy, high inflation, nearly 10 million illegal entered from southern boarders, high crime rate.

“Following the jury’s decision, Trump vehemently denounced the trial, calling it a “disgrace” and “rigged.” He asserted, “We didn’t do a thing wrong. Anybody who really knows Trump will laugh out loud after reading his statement, “We didn’t do a thing wrong. I’m a very innocent man” First of all, Who is “we”? It was Trump who got convicted not “we”! And he is as innocent as Putin was when he invaded Ukraine.
When was the last time Trump accepted defeat gracefully? Never! Why can’t he be man enough to accept defeat, and move on? Never mind, I know the answer! He wants to become president desperately so that he can avoid facing prison time for four years with four criminal cases hanging over his neck. He knows that he won’t serve prison time if he becomes president again. And everything is always rigged whenever he loses! So, what else is new?
Considering that he never conceded when he got defeated by Biden in 2020, fair and square, will anybody believe him when he claims that “the upcoming general election” will be “the true measure of public opinion”? He thinks that he will win in 2024 just because he is doing well in some of the polls about five months before the general election. What he doesn’t realize is that most people don’t seriously think about who they are going to vote for until the end of the summer and beginning of the fall. All the current polls are relatively meaningless. Trump’s conviction of yesterday and the votes of Haley supporters is bound to have significant impact on how people will vote in November 2024. However, Democrats have to work hard and not get complacent if they want to win because the country is divided and it’s going to be a close election.
Considering the number of high profile Republicans who are openly and vehemently supporting Trump even after he got convicted leads me to believe that the Republicans have no moral compass. And that’s a disgrace!

The verdict is unprecedented and unexpected. The fact that the jury of 12 peers, took only 2 days to deliberate on 34 counts of felony is beyond comprehension, unless this was pre-arranged and preordained. Disheartening to know that this can happen to an average Joe.

There’s no doubt that his legal team will appeal to the 9th Circuit Court who can remand a new trial and vacare the July verdict. As far as July 11th the date cannot be extended and if there is an appeal then the verdict will be on hold with no effect on his campaign. If there is no appeal and the judge issues at jail time then everything will break loose and it’ll be a civil war. The other scenario is Supreme Court intervening this case citing National Security and unrest and make the jury verdict null and void it is possible that that judge will put him on probation . dictated but not edited
