Tulsi Gabbard About 2028: I Am Guided By Service To God, Country

WASHINGTON, DC – “My decisions in my life have always been made around how can I best be of service to God. How can I best be of service to our country,” said Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, as she left the door open to a potential presidential run in 2028 during a new interview.
In a conversation on The Megyn Kelly Show, Gabbard reflected on her journey in public service and her future ambitions, stopping short of confirming a second White House bid but making clear that she hasn’t ruled it out.
“I will never rule out any opportunity to serve my country,” said Gabbard, a combat veteran who served in the U.S. Army for more than 20 years, including deployments to Iraq and Kuwait.
Kelly acknowledged the political battles Gabbard endured during her 2020 Democratic primary run but suggested that her political alignment and national profile have since shifted. “That was the other side. Now you’ve crossed over,” Kelly said, referring to Gabbard’s break with the Democratic Party and rising prominence in conservative circles.
Gabbard responded with characteristic caution and conviction. “If we had talked a year ago, the thought would not have crossed my mind that I would be here and that we would be having this conversation,” she said, citing her religious faith and commitment to service as the compass guiding her decisions.
