NEW YORK, NY ( Agency Reports) – The arrest of Delhi Chief Minister continues to draw international comments. On March 28, a spokesperson for UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said that he hopes India and any democratic country conducting elections, would see to it that people’s political and civil rights are protected, and voting can take place in a free and fair manner.

Stephane Dujarric, spokesperson for the Secretary-General made these remarks while he was responding to a question on what was termed as “political unrest” given the arrest of Kejriwal and the freezing of the Congress Party’s bank accounts.

India has reacted previously to Germany and the US expressing the same concerns with the Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal saying “external imputation” on India’s electoral and legal processes was completely unacceptable and summoning diplomats.

  • Why uproar for Kejariwal only? Where were these people when Soren was arrested? If these deep state wants to connect with electoral process, then why did not ask Kejari to submit the process early on when 9 summons he ignored? Kejari and Kapil Sibal gang are using every legal trick that they can find.
where was their cry for Pakistan election? Bangladesh minority abuses! what about other countries where there is no process?
Thank God there is Modi govt that ignores these so called agenda workers.

  • These empty messages should be completely ignored. Arrests have been made legally, legitimately based on evidence. If otherwise, the Supreme Court, no friend of the government or Modi would have stayed the arrest by now. The UN should set its house right first, by eliminating the enormous expenditure they are incurring year after year and increasing the size of their begging bowl every year.

  • The Modi government spends a lot of money on paying informers.

  • Perhaps India should consider meddling in foreign affairs. If this is all about freedom, question Germany why they are trying to ban certain right-wing political parties. Also, question whether Trump is getting a fair trial in the USA.

  • The UN is a defunct, non functioning, toothless, irrelevant organization. No one listens to it. Simply ignore it’s rants.
