Vaibhav Sooryavanshi Cherishes Dream India Debut
NEW DELHI-Indian batter Vaibhav Sooryavanshi expressed gratitude to fans, teammates and senior players after making his senior international debut, saying he would always give his best whenever he represented the national team.
Sharing a photograph of himself in the India jersey on his Instagram story after the match, the 15-year-old said representing India was a privilege and thanked everyone for their support.
“Overwhelmed by all the messages. Thank you to every one of my well-wishers and seniors for your constant love and support. I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to represent my country, and I’ll always try to give my best for my team every single time. Thank you for everything, everyone,” he wrote.
Sooryavanshi became the youngest player to debut in men’s international cricket on July 4, surpassing the previous records held by former India captain Sachin Tendulkar and India women’s cricketer Shafali Verma. (IANS)
