CAMBRIDGE, MA– The Harvard South Asian Association (SAA) hosted its annual cultural showcase, Andaaz, on April 11 at the Smith Campus Center. The event brought together students, faculty, and alumni from across Harvard’s schools—including the business, medical and Kennedy School—to celebrate South Asian heritage.

The evening’s highlight was the presentation of the SAA Person of the Year Award to Michelin-starred chef Vikas Khanna, honored for his influence on global culinary arts and storytelling. From his acclaimed New York restaurant Bungalow to his work in film and humanitarian outreach, Khanna has used food and media to build cultural bridges and inspire dialogue.
The SAA Designer of the Year Award was presented to Shivangi Gupta Singh and Shashank Gupta, founders of Nazranaa, the largest South Asian bridal boutique in the U.S. Known for styling over 10,000 brides and producing the popular Nazranaa Diaries series, the duo debuted their Dhruva collection—designed exclusively for Harvard students—at the event.

The Harvard South Asian Association is one of the university’s largest cultural organizations, representing over 600 undergraduates.
