WASHINGTON, DC – At the Democratic National Convention on August 19, former secretary of state Hillary Clinton passionately endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris, highlighting the progress women have made in breaking barriers.

Clinton emphasized that “the future is here,” and expressed pride in how far women have come. Reflecting on their shared journey, she remarked, “Together, we put a lot of cracks in the highest, hardest glass ceiling.” Clinton added “I wish my mother and Kamala’s mother could see us. They would say: ‘Keep going’.”

Ahead of her speech, Clinton received a standing ovation with the crowd clapping and cheering her for over two minutes. Hillary Clinton, needless to say, has broken several barriers for women. But the crowd was acknowledging her position in history as the first women presidential nominee ever.

She recalled her own historic 2016 campaign, where nearly 66 million Americans supported her vision of a future without ceilings on dreams. Despite the loss, she praised the resilience of those who continued fighting for change.

Expressing gratitude to President Joe Biden at the outset of her speech, Clinton stated that he “has been democracy’s champion at home and abroad.” “He brought dignity, decency, and competence back to the White House and he showed what it means to be a true patriot,” she said.

Clinton didn’t shy away from criticizing Donald Trump. She applauded Harris for caring about the American people and contrasted that with Trump’s self-interest. The crowd at the began chanting “lock him up!” as she mocked his legal travails. It was an ironic repurposing of the chants Trump supporters used against Clinton eight years ago. She smiled and nodded but did not take up the chant, and move on.

  • Some people have suggested that Clintons became corrupt and that caused her loss in 2016 against Trump. Remember she as a Secretary of State had a fast lane for the ones who contributed to Clinton Foundation and the slower ones for those who did not, as per that Desai, her assistant.

And ask any Haitians what Bill Clinton did with their donations during the earthquake.

And remember that $5M contribution to his foundation from some Muslim group(s) in India and how it affected her decision at the State Department, as per several reports.

People don’t forget and she was out!

And we already hear what they are after in exchange for their support for Kamala Harris. Hope if she wins she would not fall for that. Corruption should be routed out!
