Youtuber Accused Of Promoting Online Betting Apps

HYDERABAD, (ANI)- A complaint has been filed against popular YouTuber Bayya Sunny Yadav, accusing him of promoting online betting apps and misleading youth, potentially leading to financial losses and suicidal tendencies.

The complaint, lodged by police constable M Manoj Kumar, alleges that Yadav used his social media platforms to promote betting apps, claiming users could earn easy money with minimal investment.

According to the police FIR, on March 5, the complainant, while on duty at the Noothankal Police Station, came across a video posted by Yadav on his Instagram account promoting online betting apps. The video allegedly encouraged users to invest in these apps, promising high returns.

The FIR further states that Yadav, a well-known bike-riding YouTuber, sought additional earnings beyond his YouTube revenue. He allegedly collaborated with online betting app operators and directed his subscribers to participate in a “Utopia giveaway link” to attract more users.

The complaint accuses Yadav of misleading youth into investing in betting apps, causing financial losses and driving some individuals toward suicidal tendencies. The FIR highlights that such promotions particularly target unemployed youth, leading them into gambling activities that can ruin their careers and lives.
