Trump’s Rambling UNGA Speech: India Is Funding Russia’s War, Europe Will Go To Hell

NEW YORK, NY – In a lengthy and at times impromptu address President Donald Trump on September 23 stood at the UN General Assembly and launched a scathing attack on itand its policies, while reiterating his controversial claim that he has ended several conflicts, including the one between India and Pakistan.

During a speech that lasted nearly an hour—four times his allotted 15 minutes—Trump criticized the UN for its “empty words” and ineffectiveness, a point he said was underscored by a mid-speech teleprompter failure and an escalator that stopped as he was ascending.

“It’s too bad that I had to do these things instead of the United Nations doing them,” he said, lamenting the organization’s lack of support in his alleged peace efforts. He also blamed the UN for what he called its “inefficiencies” and said he once offered to renovate the building for $500 million, a bid he claims was rejected in favor of a multi-billion-dollar project that produced inferior work.

The President again took credit for ending seven “un-endable” wars, including the “violent war that was Pakistan and India.” This claim has been consistently denied by New Delhi, which maintains that a truce was reached through direct communication between the two countries’ Directors General of Military Operations.

In a speech that at times resembled a campaign rally, Trump also accused India and China of “financing” Russia’s war against Ukraine by continuing to purchase Russian energy. He threatened to impose “a very strong round of powerful tariffs” on Russia if the conflict doesn’t end, but said such measures would only be effective if European nations adopted them as well.

Beyond foreign policy, Trump also targeted what he called the “failed experiment of open borders,” warning European countries that they are “going to hell” due to illegal immigration and accusing London of potentially coming under Sharia law.

He also dismissed the global climate crisis as a “con job” and advocated for the use of carbon fuels over renewable energy sources like windmills.

In one of the few positive notes of his address, Trump announced a new international effort to enforce the Biological Weapons Convention, which would involve the use of artificial intelligence to combat the development of bioweapons. He warned that if such weapons were ever used, “there would be no United Nations to be talking about, there would be nothing.” (IANS)

  • Donald Trump’s speech at the U.N. General Assembly was the most disorganized, disconnected, and demoralizing speech ever delivered by a head of State in the history of the United Nations. Most U.S. citizens were embarrassed by the presentation. It was a mumbo-jumbo, making little sense about the state of international affairs under Trump’s administration. It was apparent at the U.N. that hardly any friendly nation was left in the hall. He basically insulted everyone inside and outside the organization. What a shame!
