MUMBAI- Music producer Rao Inderjeet Singh Yadav has offered financial help to actor Rajpal Yadav in light of his struggles.

Rajpal Yadav is known for his work in films such as ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’, ‘Hungama’, and ‘Welcome’, among others. While his on-screen journey has been marked by comic brilliance and memorable performances, his recent personal challenges have brought attention to the importance of standing by artists beyond the stage and screen.

Rao Inderjeet Singh Yadav, who is the owner of GemTunes Music, stepped forward to support Rajpal Yadav with financial assistance of Rs 1.11 crore.

He said, “Rajpal ji has given immeasurable joy to audiences and has been an integral part of Indian cinema. This support is not about money; it is about standing with a fellow human being in his time of need. Our industry is a family, and families hold each other when it matters the most.”

Rajpal Yadav is currently facing financial and legal stress linked to a long-running cheque bounce case. The dispute dates back to around 2010, when the actor and his wife borrowed roughly Rs 5 crore from a company to finance his directorial project ‘Ata Pata Laapata’. After the film failed commercially, the duo struggled to repay the loan, and several cheques issued against the debt bounced, triggering legal action under the Negotiable Instruments Act. Over the years, due to interest and penalties, the outstanding amount reportedly ballooned to an estimated Rs 9 crore.

Despite multiple deadlines and extensions granted by the Delhi High Court, he repeatedly failed to clear the dues. A few days ago, the court refused any further relief and directed him to surrender to Tihar Jail to serve a six-month sentence related to the case. (IANS)

  • A ‘Mumbai filmy type’ is thrown out of his apartment- sneaks into chutki (Antara Mali) and Raja’s Abode, who are in Mumbai seeking fame. Chutki, leaves the apartment to get tea, a good actress, can show her talent even by the way she walks out of her apartment to the sidewalk, her walk has the feel of disappointment. This sets apart an actress, from other “performers.” Ram Gopal Verma has an astute eye for talent and Antara didn’t disappoint him in “Company” and “Road” and now, in “MMDBCH” she is just too good. This is one of the sweetest movies to come out of RMG banner. There is an innate beauty about this film and the brilliant direction by Chandan Aurora, that brings up the best of Mali and Yadav. Rajpal Yadav was seen in many masala movies in an attempt to fill the slack from Johnny Lever, who has become a bane and a bore but Raja, is a role custom fitted for Yadav, who in his inimitable accent and style captures the essence of a relation, where one half always seems to care more for the other half, with a selfless devotion and belief in the talent. The sojourn in the village till they reach Mumbai is plainly hilarious. Govind Namdeo as the :Agent”, the way he treats Raja as an useful idiot, is superbly casted. So are the parents of Chutki. The phone dialogue between Chutki and her father is a real tear jerker. There are some heartfelt and authentic rural scenes. This ending is an anti-climax rather selfish and abrupt, almost like no dessert was served. But the main course was so delicious and sweet, I dud not miss tge dessert!!
One of The best Hindi movies I have seen.
