Amandeep Purewal Mastermind Crime In Punjab From The US

CHANDIGARH, (ANI) – Punjab police have successfully solved the double murder case of a Nakodar-based cloth merchant and his personal security officer Mandeep Singh with the arrest of three accused.

Director General of Police Punjab Gaurav Yadav on December 14 said that the crime was masterminded by US-based Amandeep Purewala alias Aman.

A cloth merchant Bhupinder Singh alias Timmy Chawla was shot dead on December 7 by five unknown persons.

On November 3, Jalandhar Rural Police had registered a complaint by Chawla, who stated that he received threatening calls for extortion of Rs 30 lakhs.

Police said the shooters and weapons had been organized on the directions of Amandeep Purewal.

Ruling out the association of Purewal with any other gang or gangsters, police said the crime had been committed in a bid to float a new gang and to create terror in the border state. Timmy Chawla was his first target and he had made extortion calls to him while in the US.
