CAMDEN, NJ – “F—ing Indians don’t know a thing.”

That explosive line, allegedly spoken by Campbell Soup Company’s chief information officer Martin Bally, is now at the center of a lawsuit and an internal probe that has put the senior executive on leave and ignited outrage in Indian American circles.

The leaked audio, released by former cybersecurity analyst Robert Garza, captures Bally ranting about the food, the company and about Indian employees, calling them “idiots” and claiming they “couldn’t think for themselves.”

Garza says he reported the remarks to his manager and was fired twenty days later. The recording, laced with expletives, also includes Bally boasting about coming to work high after eating marijuana edibles.

Garza’s lawsuit accuses Bally of repeated racist tirades He says he turned to human resources only to find himself out of a job shortly after.

Campbell says the comments, if genuine, are “unacceptable,” “inaccurate,” and “patently absurd.” The company told CBS News that the language does not reflect its culture and stressed that the remarks were made by an IT employee with no link to food production. In a separate statement, the company pushed back on Bally’s alleged claim about “bioengineered meat,” saying it uses real chicken and prides itself on offering good food at a good value.
