NEW DELHI – The Global Malayalee Festival 2025 promises to bring together for the first time the Malayalee diaspora from across the world to celebrate Kerala’s rich cultural heritage while fostering discussions on future technologies and global collaboration. The festival, set to take place in Kochi, aims to connect Malayalees from 47 countries across five continents, offering a unique opportunity to “Bond Beyond Borders.”
Andrew Pappachen, Director & Chief Organizing Officer of the festival, urged the diaspora to participate in the event to be held on August 15 and 16.
Dr. Abdulla Manjeri, Director and Managing Director of the festival, highlighted its significance in strengthening global Malayalee connections. “The Global Malayalee Festival is a celebration of Kerala’s culture, heritage, and global ties. It blends tradition with modern opportunities, focusing on areas like trade, investment, and unity,” he stated.
The event will feature key gatherings such as the Global Trade and Investment Meet, the Miss Global Malayalee Pageant, the Global Malayalee Ratna Awards 2025, and the Global Malayalee Boat Race. Organizers emphasize that these initiatives aim to bridge the growing Malayalee diaspora with their cultural roots while also supporting charitable causes in Kerala.
“By nurturing our ties to Kerala’s heritage, we seek to instill a deep sense of identity and belonging among Malayalees worldwide,” Pappachen added. “We also strive to contribute to charitable activities, helping underprivileged people in Kerala.”
Beyond cultural showcases of music, dance, and cuisine, the festival serves as a platform for business networking, innovation, and global outreach. The organizers anticipate extensive participation from business leaders, technocrats, and new-generation professionals, fostering collaboration and investment opportunities.
