
Gurdas Maan Says New Album Is A “Piece Of My Heart”
NEW DELHI, (ANI) – Iconic Punjabi music legend Gurdas Maan has unveiled his latest album, Sound of Soil, featuring nine evocative tracks. After the enthusiastic reception of the album’s lead single, “Main Hi Jhoothi,” Maan has now released the complete audio album.
Produced by Sai Productions and Speed Records, Sound of Soil is a heartfelt tribute to Maan’s deep connection to his Punjabi roots. The album’s music, composed by the talented Jatinder Shah, weaves contemporary sounds into Maan’s signature style.
Reflecting on the album, Gurdas Maan shared, “Sound of Soil is a piece of my heart, with each song representing the emotions and stories that shape us. I hope it resonates with listeners on a personal level.”
Among the tracks is the lively “Laggiyan Ne Maujaan (Natiya Kalam),” released alongside the album. This celebratory song blends traditional rhythms with a modern twist, capturing the spirit of Punjabi festivity. “Chitey Chitey Danda’n” follows, echoing the energy of Punjabi folk culture.
The album also features “Maa Boli,” a touching tribute to the Punjabi language, and “Ve Sohneya,” a song filled with the warmth of love and enduring relationships. Maan’s poetic storytelling shines in “Panchhi Udd Gaye,” a reflection on life’s fleeting nature and the soul’s journey.
With “Dekh Laila (Traditional),” Maan honors timeless Punjabi traditions, while “Bidesaa’n Nu” resonates with anyone who has experienced the ache of being far from home. The final track, “Tappe,” is a celebration of the joyful spirit of Punjabi music, inviting listeners to embrace life’s dance.
