Gurmeet, Debina Reflect On Journey To Parenthood

MUMBAI – Television actors Gurmeet Choudhary and Debina Bonnerjee became emotional while recalling their long and difficult journey to parenthood, including multiple miscarriages and years of unsuccessful attempts to have children.

The couple opened up about their experience during a conversation with actor Rajeev Khandelwal on his talk show ‘Tum Ho Naa’.

In a clip shared on social media, Gurmeet appeared visibly moved as he reflected on the challenges the couple faced before becoming parents.

“About 10–11 years into our marriage, we were finally blessed with children. We went through several miscarriages and tried very hard, but many doctors had told us it wouldn’t be possible. Then, after 10–11 years, we were blessed with two little daughters,” he said.

The couple are now parents to daughters Lianna and Divisha.

Gurmeet and Debina became household names after portraying Lord Ram and Goddess Sita in the 2008 television series Ramayan. (IANS)
