NAPERVILLE, IL- ISKCON Naperville will mark its second anniversary with a community event on May 18, featuring actress and parliamentarian Hema Malini and ISKCON leader Gauranga Das.
The celebration, which also serves as a fundraiser, highlights the temple’s ongoing efforts to expand its facilities. Plans for the next phase include a new front entrance with a garden and fountain, a vegetarian café, classrooms, a yoga and meditation space, and a gift shop.
Hema Malini, a longtime ISKCON supporter and Lok Sabha MP representing Mathura, has been involved in spiritual and cultural outreach within the community. Gauranga Das, a senior ISKCON official and director of the Govardhan Ecovillage, brings decades of experience in leadership and environmental initiatives.
“This is a time to reflect and move forward,” said Premananda Devi Dasi, temple president. “We invite the community to be part of the next chapter.”
The event will feature devotional performances, talks, and updates on the temple’s growth plans.
