India, US, Brazil to work together for Global Biofuels Alliance

New Delhi (IANS) According to an official statement, Brazil, India, and the United States, as leading biofuel producers and consumers. They will work together in the coming months to form a Global Biofuels Alliance with other interested countries. To facilitate cooperation and increase the use of sustainable biofuels.
This Alliance will aim to facilitate collaboration and increase the use of sustainable biofuels, including in the transportation sector. It will focus on strengthening markets, facilitating global biofuel trade, developing concrete policy lessons, and providing technical support to national biofuel programs around the world. It will also emphasize the existing best practices and success stories.
The Alliance will collaborate with and complement regional and international agencies, as well as initiatives in the bioenergy, bio-economy, and energy transition fields, such as the Clean Energy Ministerial Bio-future Platform, Mission Innovation Bioenergy initiatives, and the Global Bioenergy Partnership (GBEP).
The Global Biofuel Alliance was announced by Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep S. Puri during India Energy Week 2023 as one of India’s G20 priorities.
