LAGUNA BEACH, CA – Forever with Us Foundation, a unique nonprofit organization started by Kelsey Testman after experiencing the loss of her brother and volunteering at Miller Children’s Hospital, intends to expand into the inland region to help families cope with the financial burden of a dear one passing away.

Indian American Dr Akshat Jain, a pediatric hematologist oncologist at the Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital, will be assisting the organization reach its goals and allow timely help to families grieving from loss of a child to cancer, by serving as a board member to the nonprofit.

Testman has seen firsthand the financial burden funeral costs put on a family. Through talks with her parents and social workers, she realized that families dealing with childhood cancer receive almost no help with covering these costs. She has made it her mission to help families through the difficult time of losing a child to cancer by creating the Forever With Us foundation, a press release said.

Forever With Us foundation currently serves families from five children’s hospitals in Southern California including Loma Linda Children’s Hospital, Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles and Children’s Hospital of Orange County. As of today, Forever With Us has donated over $60,000 to more than 90 families.
