Jaipur Lit Fest 18th Edition Theme: Crime Fiction Theme

JAIPUR, (ANI)- The 18th edition of the Jaipur Literature Festival (JLF) will return from January 30 to February 3, promising an exciting lineup of events, speakers, and themes. Sanjoy K Roy, Managing Director of Teamwork Arts, shared details of the festival, revealing that this year’s special theme will focus on crime fiction. In addition, the festival will feature poetry, with the Kanhaiya Lal Sethia Award for Poetry honoring renowned Hindi poet Badri Narayan for his celebrated work Tumdi ke Shabd, known for its evocative folk imagery and sociological depth.
Another key theme, ‘Fractured World,’ will explore current geopolitics, war, and conflict. The festival will also offer sessions on theatre, dance, music, cinema, sports, food, and climate change, reflecting its broad cultural scope.
William Dalrymple, award-winning historian and Festival Co-Director, commented, “The Jaipur Literature Festival, the biggest literary festival in the world, returns with a spectacular lineup, featuring award-winning writers. The festival remains a global platform for some of the world’s most influential voices to engage, inspire, and exchange ideas, fostering meaningful dialogue across diverse cultural and intellectual backgrounds.”
