One More Family Related Appt By Trump: Girlfriend Of Jr
India-West News Desk
WASHINGTON, DC – In a move that adds to a growing list of appointments with family ties, President-elect Donald Trump has named Kimberly Guilfoyle, a former Fox News host and political fundraiser, as the next U.S. ambassador to Greece. Guilfoyle is notably engaged to eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., though the announcement made no mention of their relationship.
Describing her as “a close friend and ally,” Trump lauded Guilfoyle’s “extensive experience in law, media, and politics” and stated she is “perfectly suited to foster strong bilateral relations with Greece.” He highlighted her ability to advance U.S. interests in defense cooperation, trade, and economic innovation in his statement posted on Truth Social.
A Trend of Family-Centric Appointments
This is not the first instance of President-elect Trump tapping close family connections for high-profile roles. In November, he announced plans to nominate Charles Kushner, father of his son-in-law Jared Kushner, as ambassador to France. Additionally, Massad Boulos, father-in-law to Tiffany, is set to join the administration as a senior adviser on Arab and Middle East issues.
The announcement of Guilfoyle’s new role came amid swirling rumors about her relationship with Donald Trump Jr. British tabloid The Daily Mail published photos of Jr. with socialite Bettina Anderson, describing them as evidence of a new romance. Anderson, reportedly a friend of Trump Jr.’s ex-wife Vanessa, has been linked to him since September, fueling speculation about a love triangle.
While neither Trump Jr. nor Guilfoyle has addressed the status of their engagement, the tabloid chatter adds an unexpected layer of intrigue.
Meanwhile questions continue to swirl about the growing intertwining of Trump’s personal and professional spheres. Her appointment reflects a pattern that has raised eyebrows in Washington, with critics questioning the administration’s brazen reliance on family.
