Ramayana Museum to be Highlight of New Ayodhya

AYODHYA, (IANS) – As Ayodhya gears up for a new look with the grand Ram temple as the epicenter, an international level ‘Ramayana Museum and Cultural Center will be a major attraction.

The proposed museum is to be established on 10 acres of land at Ramasnehi Ghat between Ayodhya and Lucknow. This will enable people to get ‘grand and divine darshan of the entire life of Lord Ram in one location instead of visiting different cities.

It will have performances of the Ramayana through puppets from Russia, Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and others including from India.

A kitchen with delicacies from Madhubani, Avadh, Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Sri Lanka will also be operational.

Ramayana related arts, culture, handicrafts, folk cuisine, Ramayana Vishwa Yatra Vithika, ‘Ram Van Gaman Marg’, Ramayan-based art gallery, Ramayan-based library, research and publication center, presentation of Ramayana through puppetry and Ramlila performances on the campus will be the features of the museum.  

A special center for handicrafts of Ramayana will also be established in the form of souvenirs.

A forest area, known as Panchavati, will have plantations of the Ramayana trees in a rectangular form.
