Ravi Ahuja Named COO Of Sony Pictures

LOS ANGELES, CA – Ravi Ahuja Chairman of Global Television Studios and President & Chief Operating Officer of Sony Pictures, will take over as President and CEO effective January 2, 2025. Ahuja, who joined SPE in 2021, will succeed Tony Vinciquerra, who is stepping down from the role after leading the company since 2017. Vinciquerra will continue as a non-executive chairman until the end of 2025.
Since joining SPE, Ahuja has played a pivotal role in overseeing the studio’s global television operations and mergers and acquisitions, including the acquisitions of Industrial Media, Bad Wolf, and VFX company Pixomondo. He also managed the sale of GSN Games to Scopely. Prior to SPE, Ahuja held leadership positions at Walt Disney Television and the Fox Networks Group, where he gained extensive experience in the entertainment industry.
Ahuja will report to Sony Group Corporation’s leadership, including Chairman and CEO Kenichiro Yoshida and President Hiroki Totoki. In a statement, Yoshida praised Ahuja’s leadership, saying, “Ravi has been instrumental in navigating today’s media and entertainment challenges, and we are excited for him to lead SPE’s continued growth.”
He has undergraduate and MBA degrees from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and recently joined the Wharton Undergraduate Executive Board.
