SOUTHFIELD, MI – Arvin Shah, founder and chairman of Sky Bird Group, was recognized with the Lifetime Business Achievement Award by the North American Indian Chamber of Commerce on November 9. The honor acknowledges Shah’s four decades of contributions to the travel industry and his leadership in establishing Sky Bird as a leading airline consolidator serving travel agents nationwide.
Under Shah’s leadership, Sky Bird Group has played a pivotal role in the airline consolidation sector, providing travel agencies with competitive fares and reliable services. His work has influenced industry standards and supported the growth of businesses reliant on Sky Bird’s offerings.
Beyond his business achievements, Shah has prioritized community service and philanthropy. In 2004, he and his family founded the Jaya Rehabilitation Institute to assist victims of the 2001 Kutch Earthquake, offering prosthetic treatments. Shah is actively involved in several community organizations, including KOJAIN, JAINA, and the Jain Society of Greater Detroit, which presented him with its Lifetime Achievement Award in 2019.
Expressing gratitude for the recent honor, Shah said, “I’m fortunate to have had the opportunity to help so many in the travel industry, and I look forward to continuing to contribute in new ways.”
