LOS ANGELES, CA – Sonu Nigam will bring his celebrated voice to one of Hollywood’s most iconic stages on August 30, when Sankara Eye Foundation, USA presents ‘Sonu Nigam Revolution’ at the Dolby Theatre.

The evening promises an expansive musical journey through the career of one of India’s most recognizable playback singers, while raising funds to help eliminate curable blindness in India.

Known for his soulful voice and versatility, Nigam has performed thousands of songs across multiple Indian languages and musical genres during a career that has made him a familiar voice to generations of listeners.

For Sankara Eye Foundation, USA, the concert is about more than an evening of music. The organization, which has been supporting free eye care in India for 28 years, says every ticket purchased will contribute to its efforts to restore sight to people living with preventable blindness.

Sankara works through a network of eye hospitals and community outreach programs, reaching patients in rural and underserved areas through screening camps. Those identified as needing further treatment can receive transportation to hospitals, sight-restoring surgery, post-operative care and follow-up services at no cost.

The foundation says restoring vision can have consequences that extend well beyond eyesight, allowing patients to return to school, work and daily life with greater independence.

Sankara Eye Foundation, USA currently describes its program as the world’s largest free eye care program. Through its Vision 2030: March to a Million initiative, the organization aims to provide one million free eye surgeries each year by 2030.

To reach that goal, the foundation is expanding its network of eye hospitals while investing in medical technology, ophthalmologist training and outreach programs designed to bring care to remote communities.

The August 30 concert brings those efforts together with an evening built around music. The foundation is encouraging audiences to attend not only for the music but also for the impact their participation can have.
