Fresh steak, evenly cut
1 onion, finely chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
Cornflour
Salt, to taste
Pepper, to taste
Red chili powder, to taste
Other spices of choice
Red wine, half the quantity of steak
3-4 tomatoes, pureed
3-4 potatoes, boiled and mashed
Chopped green chili, to taste
Small cubes of Cheddar cheese
Tomato ketchup sauce (optional, for serving)
Instructions:
Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry the fresh steak until evenly cooked. Remove the steak from the pan and set aside.
In the same pan, add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Cook until golden brown.
Return the fried steak to the pan. Sprinkle cornflour over the mixture.
Season with salt, pepper, red chili powder, and any other desired spices. Pour in the red wine and mix well. Cook until the alcohol evaporates.
Add the tomato puree to the mixture and cook until the gravy thickens. Set the mixture aside.
In a bowl, combine the mashed boiled potatoes with salt, chopped green chili, and red chili powder to taste. Form small balls from the mixture.
Insert small cubes of Cheddar cheese into each potato ball.
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Spread the thick gravy evenly on a baking tray.
Arrange the cheese potato balls in a row on top of the gravy.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until the potato balls are golden brown.
Serve hot with tomato ketchup sauce on the side for extra flavor. Enjoy! (ANI)
