Tara Sreekrishnan Gets Huge Support From Green Groups

SANTA CLARA, CA – Tara Sreekrishnan who is running for the California State Assembly in District 26 as a Democrat has garnered significant backing for her bid.
The latest are a slew of endorsements from 35 climate leaders and environmental groups including The Sierra Club California, The Sierra Club Loma Prieta Chapter, Climate Action California, and 350 Bay Area Action. She has pointed out, she is the only State Assembly candidate to have garnered their support.
Tara Sreekrishnan,30, who has dedicated her life to environmental leadership has made climate action a key policy issue in her campaign. “Our environment hangs in the balance,” she warns. Her environmental journey is sparked “by a passion for sustainability and fostering a greener future” for the next generation. She has helped co-found an environmental nonprofit expanding climate action programs across local schools and held polluters in Santa Clara County accountable.
“As we navigate through an unprecedented climate crisis, it’s crucial to understand that climate change impacts every facet of our lives, including the increase in frequency and severity of storms. These storms have caused significant and expansive damage to homes and communities across Santa Clara County and beyond. The urgency to act has never been more apparent,” she said.
