Trump Turns Against Vivek Who Says ‘Friendly Fire’ Is Not Helpful

WASHINGTON, DC  (ANI) – In a sharp twist in the US presidential campaign, former President Donald Trump has turned and launched an attack on fellow GOP candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, calling his campaign “deceitful” and urging his supporters not to “waste” their vote on him.
He said that the Indian American leader is not ‘MAGA’  and a vote for him is a vote for the “other side”.
“Vivek started his campaign as a great supporter, “the best President in generations,” etc. Unfortunately, now all he does is disguise his support in the form of deceitful campaign tricks. Very sly, but a vote for Vivek is a vote for the “other side” — don’t get duped by this,” Trump posted on Truth Social.
The fracas started when the Indian American posted a photo showing his wearing shirts displaying Trump’s mug shot that said “Save Trump, vote Vivek.”
Ramaswamy who has unfailingly supported Trump to the point where experts were saying he was eyeing a spot on the ticket as a vice president or a position in a potential Trump cabinet, said he won’t be criticizing the former President and reiterated his earlier stance that Trump indeed is the “greatest President” of the 21st century.
“Yes, I saw President Trump’s Truth Social post. It’s an unfortunate move by his campaign advisors, I don’t think friendly fire is helpful. Donald Trump was the greatest President of the 21st century, and I’m not going to criticize him in response to this late attack,” Ramaswamy posted on X.
He further highlighted that he has always stood up against the persecutions of Trump and even pledged to remove himself from Maine and Colorado ballots where the former President has been barred from contesting.
“I’m worried for Trump. I’m worried for our country. I’ve stood up against the persecution against Trump, and I’ve defended him at every step. I showed up at the Miami courthouse in solidarity following his first federal indictment. I filed a FOIA demand to the Biden DOJ. I submitted an amicus brief this week with the US Supreme Court calling on them to overturn Colorado’s ruling. I pledged to remove myself from Maine’s and Colorado’s primary ballots if they remove Trump, calling on DeSantis and Haley to do the same,” Ramaswamy added.
Earlier, Trump heaped praise on the Ramaswamy and even signaled that he would be open to having him as his running mate, stating that “He would be very good…”.
The former President even said that Indian American leader was the winner of the fourth GOP debate in his opinion because “he thinks I’m great”.
Throughout his campaign, Ramaswamy has been one of Trump’s staunchest defenders against the four indictments leveled against him. He has dubbed him as the “greatest President” of the 21st century. He even vowed to pardon Trump from all charges, on his first day in office.

  • The fact that Ramaswami is on the same ballot as the one Trump is on should have alerted Trump a long time ago that Ramaswami was his competitor, not a friend. I am unsurprised, however, that it took Trump so long to figure that out because Trump has a weakness for flatterers and Ramaswami has been flattering him all through the campaign, calling him “the best president in generations” The tee shirt with a photo showing shirts displaying Trump’s mug shot that said “Save Trump, vote Vivek.” was an obvious giveaway and angered Trump, which motivated him to call Ramaswami’s campaign “deceitful” and urge his supporters not to “waste” their vote on Ramaswami. From Trump’s perspective, it was an act of disloyalty on the part of Ramaswami, especially, displaying the mugshot part of the tee shirt because it reminded people of his four indictments. I doubt if Trump will ever offer him the VP slot should he win the Republican nomination or a cabinet post should he become the president.

  • Ramaswamy, has made few mistakes and also he has been very outspoken regarding abolishing the FBI and other things, that are not conducive for a candidate to win a large base. His stars will shine bright after 2028. Whereas Haley, has hit the proverbial glass ceiling for an Indian American woman and her supporters will probably Linger on for a few more primaries after that they will give up on her and she will probably end up on a corporation board or several boards and she will not hurt for money as far as Biden and Kamala Harris they will not reelected. Kamala Harris probably will end up as a governor of California. As far as a trump cases there is no way that he will be convicted most of the cases will end up as either acquittal or mistrial and nothing detrimental happen till November 4th. As far as Indian American preaching top echelon only we wake will prevail just to give an example, another Indian American. Bobby Jindal who was the governor of Louisiana is nowhere to be heard or seen! He went into oblivion
