WASHINGTON, DC (IANS) – Fresh out of winning the Iowa Caucus, Trump made his first campaign trail appearance in Atkinson, New Hampshire, with Ramaswamy, where the latter gave an eight-minute fiery speech amidst chants of “VP VP VP” by supporters.

After his remarks, Trump praised the political newcomer, calling Ramaswamy “very special”, and told his supporters that the latter “is going to be working with us, and he will be working with us for a long time”.

The teasing of a future role is exactly what was expected of the Ramaswamy campaign by many political watchers: to be on the ticket as a veep or in case of a Trump win in the general election, a role in the administration.

After suspending his presidential campaign, Vivek Ramaswamy thinks it would be “healthy for the country” if Republican candidates Nikki Haley and Ron DeSantis, drop out of the 2024 White House race and endorse former President Donald Trump.

In an interview with Fox News, the biotech entrepreneur said the Republican voter base in Iowa has “spoken loud and clear” that they want Trump to be the presidential nominee.

“I think Ron DeSantis and Nikki Haley would actually at this point, do this country and this party a service by stepping aside to make sure that we’re focused on not only nominating Donald Trump, but getting this country back and reviving those founding revolutionary ideals,” the 38-year-old said.

“I do think that would be healthy for this country,” he added.

The twice-impeached former President, facing more than 90 criminal charges, emerged triumphant in Iowa and solidified his position as the frontrunner for the Republican nomination.

DeSantis and Haley, who emerged second and third in the caucus, hope to overtake Trump further down the primaries but the gap between the former President and both his rivals remains too wide.

“I think it’s very clear who the Republican primary electorate is saying that they want to be their nominee. I ran to be that person. They sent me a very positive message. But the very positive message they sent to all of us is that Donald Trump needs to be the nominee of this party,” Ramaswamy said.

“And I think that you know what, especially Ron DeSantis, at least of the two of them will have an important role to play in the future of this country leading this nation,” he added.

  • This is probably the greatest union of two Brilliant Minds from different generation. The fact that Rama Swami did not get back at Trump even after he made derogatory comments about Trump shows that he’s loyal and not a flash in the pan as Nikki Haley. Trump is not going to waste his talent by making him a vice president but he will make him a policy advisor where he can control a lot of departments and abolish the Dept. Of Education and Climate Control and streamline the illegal immigration and advise him on Foreign policy. The biggest winner in this game is Rama Swami since he will outlive Trump and outlive 90% of the politicians in Washington.

  • Vivek is a clone of the pathological liar corrupt con Don. It is likely that he was set up to run by con Don to dilute opporition vote. What else you can expect from the clueless cunnning manipulator maestro of the world. It was clear from the beginning that he was a set up since he never mentioned the reason of running against con Don. Then why he was running? It was to dilute oppodition vote. A con man can always recognize another one, No surprise!

  • “The twice-impeached former President, facing more than 90 criminal charges, emerged triumphant in Iowa and solidified his position as the frontrunner for the Republican nomination.”

—This is more a reflection on the GOP electorate than on Trump, proving once again what Thomas Jefferson once famously wrote, “The government you elect is the government you deserve.” Alas, the GOP electorate rushes to vote for Trump just as the moths rush to a flame. To me, it’s very obvious that even if Trump wins the Republican nomination, the chance of him getting elected in the general election is not a foregone conclusion, especially, if he gets criminally convicted on even one charge, which is what likely to happen by November 2024, Even some prominent Republicans, like Chris Christie, Asa Hutchinson, and Ron DeSantis think that way. But Trump has so brainwashed the Republicans into believing against all evidence that Biden’s win in 2020 was illegitimate that they think Trump needs another chance to win back the Whitehouse. This is a perfect example of wishful thinking on their part. Their reasoning is so clouded with irrationality that they don’t see anything wrong in supporting a candidate who is immoral, unethical, racist, misogynistic, narcissistic, nationalistic, corrupt, incompetent, a liar of the first order, and a snake oil salesman. I also think the media too wants Trump to win the nomination because it thinks that a rematch of Trump versus Biden in November 2024 will be good for their ratings, as was the case in 2016 and 2020 when Trump was one of the candidates. How else can we explain relentless coverage of Trump even on the left leaning TV media like CNN?

Regarding Ramaswami, it was clear from the very beginning that he was not running a serious campaign, considering how much he admired Trump and defended him whenever he was attacked by anyone. He had made the right call in presuming that Trump was the strongest contender among his competitors and that he himself had no shot at winning the nomination. If, God forbid, Trump does win the presidency, I expect Ramaswami to hold an important position in his administration.

  • An old Indian is saying, “Ghar Ke Budhu, Ghar Mein Aai.” They are Vivek and Don. In the end, they will fall by the wayside. The U.S. history will not be very kind to these two individuals by leaving them in the footnotes of chapters on “The Pirates of the American Politics.”

  • Trump is zeroing on Elise Stepanek has his vice president candidate and as far as Nikki Haley aka tricky Haley her conniving and back stabbing disloyalty act is nearing its end. 20% of orders after spending 70 million compared to 8% after spending is own money of 10 million by Vivek is testament to the fact that people are getting tired of establishment backing up the candidates who are going to be puppets and Same Old s***. Trump along with the Vivek on the campaign trail will turn the tide against DeSantis and Haley who will drop out after the New Hampshire primary. Haley who called the fellow Indian as ‘scum’ the karma is catching up to her since we wake has exposed her enrichment from Boeing other defense contracts. Vivek will be the senior policy advisor to Trump and travel with him instead of attending funerals for foreign leaders which is a complete waste of his time and talent as a policy advisor he will be able to give his legal advice and wisdom on every aspect of the new administration. Dictated but not edited.

  • What Trump needs right now is someone to insulate him, protect him and pardon him if needed. A loyal to the core bright person who is smart leader with legal background but not takeover Trump or cross path with Trump. The only person that fits the criteria is Ramaswamy. The fact that the matter is he’s also bringing 18 to the 24 crowd energixzed by Vivek who have voted for Biden before but will not work for Biden again but they will for Trump if Viveki is his VP since Trump only has four more years then we wake could take over for another 8 years and continue the Legacy of Trump and be a president one day or 2028 to be precise
