WASHINGTON, DC – The wife of Donald Trump’s running mate, Usha Vance, who once considered voting for Hillary Clinton, has now embraced J.D. Vance’s MAGA agenda for the 2024 election, sources have told DailyMail.com.
A longtime family friend revealed to Daily Mail that Usha Vance, a former registered Democrat, has shifted her political allegiance to fully support her husband’s Republican campaign and Trump’s platform. This change mirrors J.D. Vance’s own evolution in political views regarding Trump.
Usha, a Yale-educated attorney, was previously aligned with the Democratic Party, a stance reflected by her parents, who remain registered Democrats. However, she has a history of working with Republican figures, having clerked for conservative Supreme Court Justices Brett Kavanaugh and John Roberts.
“It wasn’t indicative of her political beliefs,” a former classmate told Daily Mail. “It seemed more like a career move.”
Many friends of Usha were unaware of her political leanings as she rarely discussed them openly. Those familiar with her family noted that the Chilukuris have generally been discreet about politics. Usha’s mother, Lakshmi Chilukuri, was among the 2,300 California professors who in 2017 petitioned President Trump to stay in the Paris Climate Accord.
A close acquaintance of the Vances for over a decade commented that the couple’s political partnership seems like a coordinated effort. “I don’t think they’d be pursuing this if she wasn’t on board with it,” the source said.

Shame on her, regardless of her religion, for following a man who has been so disrespectful of women, including his 3 wives. She should be standing up for the rights of women and her daughters. Trump is misogynist and self important individual who is also a convicted felon. This is where I would have parted ways and focused on what is right!
