Vivek As President, Will Fire 75% Of Federal Workforce, Disband FBI & Dept Of Education – All Unilaterally

WASHINGTON, DC (ANI) – Vivek Ramaswamy says that he would fire over 75 percent of the federal workforce and shutter several major agencies if he is elected the US President, the New York Times reported.

Among the government organizations that Ramaswamy vowed to disband are the Department of Education, the FBI, the Food and Nutrition Service, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, it reported.

Ramaswamy (38) also claimed he could make the changes unilaterally if he were to be elected president, putting forward a sweeping theory that the executive wields the power to restructure the federal government on his own and does not need to submit such proposals to Congress for approval.

While Ramaswamy named several agencies he said he would abolish, he added that he would move many of their functions to other organizations — suggesting that many of the same jobs would still exist elsewhere.

He also said he would abolish the Federal Bureau of Investigation, which became a frequent target of “Trump-style Republicans” after it investigated ties between Russia and the former President’s 2016 campaign.

About 2.25 million people work for the federal government in civilian roles. Cutting more than 75 percent of that workforce would result in more than 1.6 million people being fired, saving billions of dollars in the federal budget but also shutting down critical functions of the government, according to the New York Times.

In an interview with Axios, the GOP candidate said that he wants to cut the federal civil workforce by 75 percent after four years. He added he wants to see a 50 percent reduction by the end of his first year.

“Keep in mind that 30 percent of these employees are eligible for retirement in the next five-year period,” Ramaswamy said.

“So, it is substantial — no doubt about it — but it’s not as crazy as it sounds,” The Hill quoted him as saying.

According to Ramaswamy’s campaign website, he aims to “dismantle managerial bureaucracy” by shutting down “toxic government agencies,” eliminating federal employee unions, moving more than 75 percent of federal employees out of Washington, DC, and “cut wasteful expenditures,” The Hill reported.

Notably, his pitch was very similar to that of former President Donald Trump — whom Ramaswamy has been supporting lately and even dubbed as the best President of the 21st century — who sought to expand political control over the federal workforce near the end of his term, as per the New York Times.

Also, like Trump, Ramaswamy has also attacked parts of the federal government as a “deep state.”

“We will use executive authority to shut down the deep state,” Ramaswamy said on at the America First Policy Institute here.

Ramaswamy flipped through posters displaying government organizational charts as well as what he claimed were common “myths” about the limitations of presidential authority.

  • RamaSwamy, is everywhere on YouTube now to be renamed Vtube !.This guy is a Indian prodigy. The guy is amazing orator reminiscent of Franklin Graham the preacher, except this preacher is in politics. To an average person lot of his ideas may come as radical but they are well thought out and he has done his homework as JD from Yale law school among other things. Either this country is going move forward or it will status quo with people like Namrata a dumb (ugly too) aspirant for the job who is a controlled by the same forces (rich industrials) who assume the majority of voters as dumb as her.

  • Trump right now 67% and Vivek close to 20% rest of them are negligible, not even worth mentioning. The two people who benefited from the debate or Trump for skipping the debate and Vivek as the winner of of the debate with his incisive arguments and laser sharp points.

  • “The Kid Stays In The Picture”
Vivek Ramaswamy, is a “Kid” compared to Pence. When Adolf Zucker, was president of Paramount, he casted an unknown actor, as Matador, in the picture “The Sun Also Rises” and when the fellow actors started grumbling about the choice, he took a bull horn and proclaimed the “The Kid Stays In The Picture.” The “Kid” was Robert Evans, who became president of Paramount and produced movies like “Godfather” “The Cotton Club” and others.

Vivek (means knowledge in Sanskrit) who is a South Indian and a Hindu, who is not ashamed of his ancestry, unlike Namrata Haley, who is 100% Hindu, but ashamed of her own ancestry, which means one is ashamed of his or her own mother. Why would you vote for such a person?

Vivek, is all over the YouTube and that should be renamed Vtube ! This guy is absolutely brilliant and proud of his heritage and the most eloquent speaker, akin to Billy Graham, except Vivek is in politics. This guy is not going to go away.
