SACRAMENTO, CA – A vibrant celebration of International Yoga Day was witnessed here, with over 500 participants from diverse backgrounds coming together to embrace the practice of yoga. The Yoga Fest, a collaborative effort between Suvidha International Foundation and the Art of Living Foundation, provided an opportunity for people of all ages to experience the transformative power of yoga.

The dynamic Yoga Fest event on June 24 aimed to promote mindfulness and highlight the holistic advantages of yoga, inspiring individuals to lead balanced and wholesome lives. Generously sponsored by the City of Rancho Cordova through its Community Grants, the festival served as a platform to raise awareness about the positive impact of yoga and encourage its incorporation into daily routines for a healthier lifestyle.

The Yoga Fest took place at Village Green Park in Rancho Cordova here. The event featured three parallel tracks: two dedicated to yoga, breathing techniques, meditation, and yoga knowledge sessions, and a third track with carnival games for children.

The event saw the active participation of esteemed organizations such as the Hindu American Foundation, Brahma Kumaris Meditation Center, Hindu Swayam Sevak, SKY Meditation, Iskcon Sacramento, Amar Spiritual Healing, True You Hot Yoga, Yoga Peace Yoga Therapy & Ayurveda, Inner Lotus Ayurveda, Illuminating Aroma, Fresh Yoga Synthesized Methodology – FYSM, and Blacker the Berry Health and Wellness. Experienced instructors from the Art of Living Foundation, along with local instructors from other organizations, conducted captivating demonstrations, incorporating enjoyable methods of practicing yoga and leading participants in relaxing meditations.

In addition to the yoga sessions, the event featured vendor booths where attendees could explore local programs and businesses. Carnival games added an extra touch of fun to the festivities, delighting children and creating a joyful atmosphere.

Bhaskar Vempati, President of Suvidha International Foundation and Art of Living Yoga & Meditation Instructor, expressed his delight at organizing the Yoga Fest, describing it as a transformative experience. Nitisha Gilra, an Art of Living Yoga and Meditation Instructor, praised the event’s energy and fun, emphasizing the inspiration it brought to individuals of all ages.
