Freida Pinto Urges Aid For Wildfire-Hit Community In Canada

LOS ANGELES, CA – Hollywood actor Freida Pinto, who rose to fame with ‘Slumdog Millionaire’, has expressed concern over the devastating Okanagan wildfires in Canada’s British Columbia, urging support for those affected, including her friend Carmen Spagnola, who lost her farm and animals in the disaster.

Freida Pinto shared a message on Instagram highlighting the scale of destruction and the personal impact of the wildfires.

“The Okanagan wildfires in BC are devastating. So many are displaced and have lost everything. Among them is Carmen Spagnola who has given me so much peace over the years,” Pinto wrote.

Encouraging support for relief efforts, the actress asked followers to learn more about her friend’s work and contribute if possible.

“Do check out her insta page @carmenspagnola and scroll to the videos before the wildfires. Her farm and sweet animals will give you so much joy. If you feel inclined her friends have also set up a go fund me for her. Her rebuild is not going to be easy but her strength through it all is remarkable,” she added.
