MUMBAI – Ajay Devgn and his son Yug Devgan are set to bring their voices to the Hindi version of Karate Kid: Legends, the latest installment in the iconic Jackie Chan-starrer franchise. Ajay will voice the character of Mr. Han, originally portrayed by Jackie Chan, while Yug makes his voice acting debut as Li Fong, the film’s lead character, played by Ben Wang in the original.

This marks Ajay Devgn’s first-ever voiceover role for an international film, adding a new dimension to his extensive acting career. His son Yug, known for his youthful energy, is expected to bring a fresh spirit to the globally beloved franchise, adding an extra layer of excitement for fans.

The father-son duo’s involvement is anticipated to bring emotional depth to the film, particularly enhancing the central theme of the mentor-mentee relationship between Mr. Han and Li Fong.

Karate Kid: Legends follows Li Fong, a kung fu prodigy who adjusts to life in a new school, builds unexpected friendships, and faces off against a local karate champion. Under the guidance of his mentor, Han (Jackie Chan), and the legendary Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio), Li embarks on a journey of self-discovery, courage, and personal growth.

Sony Pictures Entertainment India will release Karate Kid: Legends in theaters on May 30, 2025, in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
