D’Souza also moderated a panel discussion on “Human Rights in Action,” featuring international experts. He took the opportunity to honor Dr. Mary Shuttleworth, President of United for Human Rights and Youth for Human Rights International, for her dedication to the cause.

Reflecting on his journey, D’Souza shared how the Universal Declaration of Human Rights profoundly impacted his life. “With education, empowerment, and enlightenment of the 30 Rights, I flipped the 4 P’s of failure—Parent, Provider, Protector, and Person—into Passion, Purpose, Power, and Prayers,” he said.

The summit celebrated progress in human rights education and advocacy, inspiring delegates to continue their efforts in empowering and transforming their communities.

Harold and Dancy D’Souza are the co-founders of Eyes Open International, a non-profit organization focused on the prevention, education, protection, and empowerment of victims, survivors, vulnerable populations, and community members worldwide.
