Narendra Pathak Named To County Home Supportive Services Advisory Board

India-West Staff Reporter
SUNNYVALE, CA – Narendra Pathak has been appointed to the Public Authority for In-Home Supportive Services Advisory Board by the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors. The appointment was confirmed on June 6, with unanimous votes.

In 2019, Pathak suffered a brain stroke, which left him physically disabled and made him realize even more the importance of community services. As a member of the advisory board, Pathak will provide guidance on existing and potential programs and policies, community development, and other relevant issues.

The board, consisting of 11 commissioners, acts as an advisory body to the County Board of Supervisors, conducting studies, reviews, evaluations, and making recommendations to the Public Authority Governing Body and the Public Authority Executive Director. Their focus is on matters concerning individuals receiving In-Home Supportive Services in the county, advocating for county residents who require in-home attendant services to live independently in the community.
