Shaheen Bhatt Gets Engaged, Industry Sends Wishes Her Way

MUMBAI- Actress Alia Bhatt showered her sister, author and screenwriter Shaheen Bhatt, with love and affection after Shaheen announced her engagement to longtime partner Ishaan Mehra through a social media post on April 17.

Author and screenwriter Shaheen Bhatt shared a string of photographs where she was seen flaunting her engagement ring. Ishaan Mehra is a sports and fitness coach and former international swimmer who represented India at the Youth Asian Games before moving into the fitness industry.

The post, which also included affectionate pictures of the newly engaged couple, was captioned, “We may have overdone this whole liking each other thing”.

Reacting to the announcement, actress Alia Bhatt wrote in the comment section, “Spamming you with my love (sic)”.

The actress also reshared Shaheen Bhatt’s post on her Instagram Stories and added, “Currently weeping”.

She further filled the comment section with several red heart emoticons.

Actress Soni Razdan, mother of Alia and Shaheen, commented, “Congratulations my darlings pieces of my (heart emojis)”.

Veteran actress Neetu Kapoor, Alia Bhatt’s mother-in-law, wrote, “Congratulationsssss love and blessings (heart and bad omen emojis)”.

Entrepreneur Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, Alia Bhatt’s sister-in-law, also congratulated the couple.
