Shriji Mandir Conducts Ceremonies For Its New, Upcoming Temple

BELLFLOWER, CA – Shriji Mandir on March 18, held a bhumi pujan celebration here, for its proposed and upcoming ‘haveli’ or temple.
More than 500 people attended and witnessed the ceremony with joy and reverence. The program began with the recital of the ‘Yamunastak’ by Jayshree Gohil. This was followed by religious ceremonies including the kalas puja, bhumi puja and a shanti yagna conducted by Praful Joshi.
Shriji Mandir President, Bhargav Patel, welcomed everyone and gave details of the new building in his speech. He emphasized that the new temple site was for all Vaishnavs. Temple leader Rekha Bajaria also appreciated the support from the community.
On the next day, March 19, Shriji Mandir celebrated the sixth Patasov with bhajans by Jayshree Gohil and party. Paulomi Pandit’s dance school performed to famous bhajans including, ‘Aja ni Ghadi,’ and ‘Mara Ghat Ma Birajata Shrinathji.’ Kavita Teli also danced to ‘Muje Charano She Lagado.’
The event concluded with a Nanda Mahatsov.
