Sorry, Vikas Khanna Will Not Be Opening A Restaurant In India
NEW YORK, NY (ANI) – Chef Vikas Khanna, a top ambassador of Indian cuisine, has made a splash on the U.S. culinary scene with his restaurant Bungalow in New York City. Known for his “haath ka hunar” and his grandmother’s recipes, Vikas Khanna has brought the flavors of India to NYC, attracting celebrities like Anne Hathaway and Shah Rukh Khan.
While Vikas Khanna has opened multiple restaurants in the U.S. and Dubai, he has yet to open one in India, despite fans eagerly awaiting his return. He said this was not going to happen.
He emphasized that while there have been many questions about opening in India, his mission was to elevate Indian cuisine in the U.S., particularly in the competitive New York City market. “Nobody can deny the power of New York City,” he said, highlighting the importance of promoting Indian food on a global stage.
Vikas Khanna also explained that Bungalow would be his last restaurant and that he still spends several hours in the kitchen there every day.
