Vir Das and The Night Manager Team Shine On Emmy Red Carpet

NEW YORK, NY – Vir Das and the team behind The Night Manager represented India with flair at the International Emmy Awards 2024, here Das, hosting the prestigious event, and the cast and crew of the Hotstar series showcased a defining moment for Indian storytelling on the global stage.
Das, dressed in a sleek outfit by Delhi-based designer Shubhangi Bajpai, made a statement not just with his humor but also his sartorial choice. “We picked this kid from Delhi… She worked super hard,” he shared, highlighting his dedication to promoting emerging Indian talent. Speaking on the red carpet about his hosting debut, Das admitted to pre-show jitters: “If you don’t want to throw up a little before the show, then it’s not going to be a good show,” he joked, emphasizing his approach to celebrating shared global experiences as storytellers.
The Night Manager team, led by showrunner Sandeep Modi and actor Aditya Roy Kapur, also took the spotlight, celebrating the show’s nomination in the Drama Series category. Modi carried an Indian flag as they posed for photographs, calling the recognition a “huge honor” for Indian creators. “Representing India and Indian cinema at the International Emmys is incredibly special,” Modi said.
