At His NY Restaurant, Vikas Khanna Shows Shreya Ghoshal How To Make Modaks

NEW YORK, NY -Chef Vikas Khanna and singer Shreya Ghoshal celebrated the festive spirit of Ganesh Chaturthi together, with Khanna teaching the singer how to make traditional modaks in his restaurant here.

Khanna shared a video of Ghoshal joining him in the festive preparations, including decorating Lord Ganesha and making modaks. In his caption, he also shared a personal tribute to the singer, recalling a friend who had not visited India for almost a decade and once told him, “Shreya’s voice is home.”

Khanna said he never forgot those words and recalled spending time with Ghoshal, including her meeting Myshu, joining them for Ganga Aarti and making modaks for Ganesh Chaturthi.

Sharing the video, Khanna wrote, “There is something sacred about your voice, Shreya Ghoshal. It has the power to heal wounds and, even if only for a moment, make people forget the sorrows around them. I remember a friend of mine who had not visited India for almost a decade once saying to me, “Shreya’s voice is home.” I never forgot those words.”

The video captures Ghoshal enjoying the festive atmosphere and spending time with everyone. She is also seen relishing a meal, adding to the warm, homely mood of the celebrations. (IANS)
