Biden Talks Age – I’m A Grown Man Running Against A 6-Year-Old (Trump)

WASHINGTON, DC –  President Joe Biden, 81, took full advantage of the April 27 White House Correspondents’ Association (WHCA) dinner, which is telecast live to drub political rival, Donald Trump. He has in the past, at the same forum, mocked his age but this year his jokes were more pointed.  

At the annual dinner for Washington’s political and media elites, he said “Of course, the 2024 elections in full swing and, yes, age is an issue: I’m a grown man running against a 6-year-old.” Trump  is 77. And then Biden added, “Age is the only thing we have in common. My vice president actually endorses me.” Trump’s former vice president Mike Pence has refused to endorse him.

Taking a leaf from Trump’s penchant for name calling, Biden dubbed the former president “Sleepy Don.” Trump, caught up in slew of legal cases including criminal, has been caught on camera slack jawed and dozing off during court proceedings.

“Donald has had a few tough days lately. You might call it ‘stormy’ weather,” Biden said in a reference that everyone got. Stormy Daniels, the adult star who says she had an affair and received a hush-money payment in the days before the 2016 election, a deal at the center of his New York trial.

“The defeated former president has made no secret of his attack on our democracy. He said he wants to be a dictator on day one, and so much more. He tells supporters he is their revenge and retribution. When in God’s name [have] you ever heard another president say something like that?” Biden asked, referring to Trump’s recent remarks. “We have to take this seriously. Eight years ago, you could’ve written off [that] it was just Trump talk, but no longer. Not after January 6,” Biden said.
