SAN RAMON, CA – The Association of Indo-Americans (AIA) delighted the Bay Area with Maya Bazaar 2024, a one-of-a-kind outdoor summer festival that captivated attendees.

With the support of the San Francisco Consulate General of India, the festival featured a large handicraft expo, boasting participation from over 20 Indian states. Held in collaboration with the City of San Ramon and co-sponsored by Bolly 92.3 FM, the event showcased an array of Indian cultural and artistic expressions.

From traditional dances like Kuchipudi, Bharatanatyam, and Kathak to foot-tapping Bollywood and Tollywood performances, the daylong cultural programs delighted audiences of all ages.

Dignitaries including Consul General Dr. K. Srikar Reddy and Mayor Dave Hudson of San Ramon were honored during the event, underscoring the community spirit and cultural richness. Reddy praised the artists for their dedication to preserving India’s cultural legacy, presenting certificates to honor their contributions.

Families enjoyed interactive experiences, including carnival games, water rollers, and VR games, while the “MayaBazaar Express” train ride added to the festive atmosphere. Food enthusiasts indulged in the Mirch Masala Food Festival, savoring a variety of delicacies presented with unique flair.

The festival also provided ample shopping opportunities, with over 70 vendors offering everything from clothing and jewelry to health services and educational programs.
