Tigmanshu Dhulia: Good Friends Essential In Midst Of Bollywood’s Insecurity
MUMBAI (ANI) – Filmmaker Tigmanshu Dhulia, known for Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster, Paan Singh Tomar, and Bullett Raja, shared his perspective on the film industry, calling it an “insecure place” where strong friendships are crucial.
Dhulia explained, “You need a lot of good friends here because you can’t open up easily. Everyone feels vulnerable at some point. If you share your weakness with the wrong person, they might exploit it. But whom do you talk to? A lot of things even your wife may not understand.”
He highlighted the importance of having trusted confidants, saying, “You need a friend in real life, too. I don’t have one right now, and that’s a problem. Whether it’s choosing a script, facing career setbacks, or dealing with a film’s failure, you need someone to talk to.”
On the professional front, Dhulia has gained international recognition with Paan Singh Tomar, which won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in 2012.
He is also known for his role as Ramadhir Singh in Anurag Kashyap’s cult classic Gangs of Wasseypur.
