Tulsi Gabbard, Kash Patel Instruct Intelligence Officers To Ignore Elon’s Email Ultimatum

WASHINGTON, DC – Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard and FBI Director Kash Patel have ordered intelligence community officers to ignore Elon Musk’s email demanding they list five things they accomplished last week or risk termination.

Gabbard issued the directive just hours after Musk’s message was sent to hundreds of thousands of federal employees, raising concerns over classified information and national security risks. Patel reinforced the instruction, emphasizing that only the FBI has the authority to oversee its internal processes.

Musk, who previously used a similar tactic at Twitter, warned employees that failure to comply would be considered a resignation. Although the email specified that responses should not include classified information, intelligence officials feared that even unclassified details could compromise U.S. security if leaked.

Other agencies also pushed back. The Department of Defense advised its employees not to respond, while State Department official Tibor Nagy assured staff that the department would handle any necessary reply. “No employee is obligated to report their activities outside their department’s chain of command,” Nagy wrote in an internal memo, the New York Times reported.
