India-West Staff Reporter
SAN JOSE, CA – Parth Gaba, a dedicated high school student at Valley Christian Schools, founded the non-profit initiative WeKare to help homeless and low-income students. The organization provides essential kits filled with hygiene products, first aid supplies, and school materials to those in need.
Motivated by the challenges faced by his peers, Parth sought to make a tangible difference. “I saw students struggling not only with their studies but also with basic necessities,” he shared. “WeKare was born from the desire to help.”
Each WeKare kit includes items like soap, toothbrushes, band-aids, notebooks, and pens, helping students thrive both academically and personally. To date, Parth has donated over 20,000 items, making a significant impact in his community.

“It’s important to remember that poverty and lack of resources are global issues,” Parth said. “I want to help as many people as possible, no matter where they are.”
To fund his mission, Parth has organized fundraising activities such as lemonade stands and dog-sitting services. In partnership with District 8 Council Member Domingo Cardeles, he is also organizing monthly donations at Welch Park in San Jose to reach more families in need.
A significant milestone for Parth was his collaboration with Robinhood Army for an India donation of school supplies.
Parth aims to inspire others to get involved, saying, “Anyone can make a difference, no matter their age or background. Together, we can create a brighter future for all students.”
