‘Polite Society’: Action Comedy

Premiering at the Sundance Film Festival on January 21, ‘Polite Society’ is a merry mash-up of sisterly affection, parental disappointment, and bold action. Written and directed by Nida Manzoor, it follows martial artist-in-training Ria Khan who believes she must save her older sister Lena from her impending marriage and attempts to pull off a wedding heist in the name of independence and sisterhood. The film stars Priya Kansara, Ritu Arya, Nimra Bucha, Akshay Khanna, Seraphina Beh and Ella Bruccoleri.
What if Gandhi had survived? Director Rajkumar Santoshi delivers a powerful new historical drama.  With music from Oscar winner A.R. Rahman, the film revolves around the fictional world where Mahatma Gandhi survives the attack and later meets Nathuram Godse in prison, the conversation leads to a fiery debate between them. It releases in cinemas across North America on January 26, Republic Day.
The film is a spooky comedy directed by Gurmmeet Singh and produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani. It stars Katrina Kaif as a ghost and Ishaan Khatter and Siddhant Chaturvedi as ghostbusters. Jackie Shroff and Sheeba Chaddha play supporting roles.

New York, (IANS)  Congressman Ro Khanna, an Indian-American, will be the co-chairman of the Congressional Caucus on India and Indian-Americans in the 118th Congress. Khanna, a Democrat who represents California's 17th Congressional District, and Republican House colleague Mike Waltz will co-chair
