DALLAS, TX – The nonprofit CaresGlobal, based here, has partnered with Rajasthan’s Mother World Trust to open a classroom for Pakistani Hindu refugee children in Jodhpur, many of whom have never attended school due to displacement, visa issues, and lack of documentation.
The initiative provides full scholarships, including tuition, uniforms, books, and transportation. Most students come from families that fled religious persecution in Pakistan and continue to face barriers in India.
“In Jodhpur alone, we found 60 children who had not seen the inside of a classroom,” said CaresGlobal Executive Director Richa Gautam. “We’re here to change that.”
Mother World Trust, a grassroots organization with experience in education and healthcare, manages the center’s daily operations and community outreach. “We focus on building a foundation for learning and wellbeing,” said Chairman Rajendra Gurjar.
The program also includes mobile science labs and STEM learning. U.S.-based educator Vinita Singh leads the science curriculum, while Reshma Malani, a local principal with Sindhi roots, oversees academic planning.
“The goal is to make education accessible and relevant,” said Manoj Malani, Vice President of the Trust.
This classroom follows the success of CaresGlobal’s first refugee learning center in Ahmedabad, launched in 2024. Teachers and coordinators like Nindiya and Jai Gomand play a vital role in engaging students and supporting families, the organization said.
